The Live Performance was held respectively on Seneca and Haudenosaunee land at the University at Buffalo North Campus in the hope to strike a conversation about decolonization practices that needed to be taken by the institution at large.
Bondage like restraint out of porcupine quills felt and cotton. Performed wearing these strips, which censored my eyes, mouth, and ability tomove within an elevator space at the University at Buffalo. Playing on concepts of the agency or lack thereof, representation of indigeneity at t the university, and appropriation of imagery. While wearing the bondage, I rode the elevator up and down for an hour, having students, teachers, and faculty come in and out fo space as they pleased
